This summary is for convenience only — the full policy below controls.

Your Privacy Choices — Your California Privacy Rights — Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

California residents can opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. Tools that may collect or share identifiers on this Site include Google Analytics 4 / Google Tag Manager (container GTM-NZ2W77VW) and call tracking numbers used to measure inbound phone calls. Some advertising tags fired through GTM may constitute "sharing" under the CPRA. To exercise your choice, use any of the methods below — we honor all of them equally.

  • On-site cookie choice — use the cookie banner (Accept all / Decline optional) or Manage preferences to control analytics and advertising cookies.
  • Global Privacy Control (GPC) — the fastest option. Any GPC signal we detect from your browser is treated as a valid opt-out of sale/sharing (ad storage and related advertising signals) for that browser. GPC is supported by DuckDuckGo, Brave, Firefox (with the setting enabled) and browser extensions like Privacy Badger.
  • Email us at [email protected] with the subject "California Privacy Choice — Opt Out." Include the name, phone number and email you have used with Cloud Comfort so we can verify the request.
  • Call us at (424) 376-3298 during business hours and tell the team you would like to opt out of sale or sharing.

You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf; we will ask for proof of authorization before responding. We do not discriminate against consumers who exercise these rights.

Who we are

This Privacy Policy describes how Cloud Comfort HVAC ("Cloud Comfort," "we," "us," or "our"), a heating, air conditioning and plumbing contractor located at 1732 Border Ave, Torrance, CA 90501, collects, uses and shares personal information when you visit https://cloudcomforthvac.com (the "Site"), contact us, or use our services. Cloud Comfort may also do business under additional registered trade names; this policy applies equally to services offered under those names.

Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Service and contact forms — name, phone number, email address, service address, and a description of your request when you book service, request an estimate, or contact us.
  • Job applications — name, contact details, work history and any materials you submit when applying through our careers page.
  • Phone calls — when you call us, we receive your phone number. Calls may be routed through tracking numbers and may be recorded for quality and training purposes; where required by California law you will be notified before recording begins.
  • SMS opt-in — your phone number and consent record, if you opt in to text messages.

Information collected automatically

  • Analytics and tag data — we use Google Tag Manager to run website analytics and advertising tags. These tools collect device information, IP address, pages viewed, referring pages, and interaction events through cookies and similar technologies.
  • Anti-spam data — our forms are protected by Google reCAPTCHA, which collects device and interaction data to distinguish people from bots. Its use is subject to Google's privacy policy and terms.

How we use information

  • To respond to your request, provide estimates, and schedule and perform service
  • To send appointment confirmations, updates and service communications (including SMS, only with your consent)
  • To process financing referrals and payments you request
  • To evaluate job applications
  • To measure, secure and improve the Site and our marketing
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us operate, and only for the purposes above:

  • Customer relationship and scheduling platform — form submissions are delivered to our CRM/lead-management provider (LeadConnector) so we can respond and schedule your service.
  • Analytics and advertising vendors — Google (Tag Manager, analytics and advertising tags). Some advertising cookies may constitute "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law; you can opt out as described in the California rights section below.
  • Call tracking and telephone providers — to route and measure calls.
  • Financing partners — only when you ask us to arrange financing.
  • Legal and safety — when required by law, subpoena, or to protect our rights, customers or the public.

SMS consent is never shared. Your phone number and text-message opt-in are not shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes.

Cookies, analytics & Global Privacy Control

The Site uses cookies and similar technologies for essential operation, analytics and advertising measurement. You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking some cookies may affect how the Site works. We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signal: where we detect a GPC signal from a California resident, we treat it as a valid request to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for that browser.

SMS / text messaging (TCPA consent)

  • Express opt-in only. We send text messages only if you expressly opt in — for example, by checking an unchecked SMS-consent box on a form. Consent is not a condition of purchasing any goods or services.
  • Messages may include appointment confirmations, scheduling updates, service notifications and — only if you separately agree — promotional offers.
  • Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
  • Reply STOP at any time to cancel. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at (424) 376-3298 or [email protected].
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Your California Privacy Rights — Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, gives you the following rights:

  • Right to know / access — request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, purposes, and the categories of third parties with whom it was shared.
  • Right to delete — request deletion of your personal information, subject to legal exceptions.
  • Right to correct — request correction of inaccurate personal information.
  • Right to opt out of sale or sharing (Cal. Civ. Code §1798.120) — we do not sell personal information. To the extent advertising cookies constitute "sharing," you may opt out by contacting us using the details below or by using a GPC-enabled browser.
  • Right to limit use of sensitive personal information (Cal. Civ. Code §1798.121) — we do not use sensitive personal information for purposes requiring a right to limit.
  • Right to non-discrimination — we will never discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.

In the last 12 months we have collected: identifiers (name, phone, email, address); commercial information (service history, estimates); internet activity (analytics data); audio information (recorded calls); and professional information (job applications).

To exercise any right, call (424) 376-3298 or email [email protected] with the subject "California Privacy Request." We will verify your identity using the information you provide (typically name, phone and email associated with your account) and respond within 45 days. You may designate an authorized agent to submit requests on your behalf; we will require proof of authorization.

Children's privacy (COPPA)

The Site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above — generally for the duration of our customer relationship plus the period required for warranty, tax, licensing and legal-compliance purposes — and then delete or de-identify it. Analytics data is retained per our analytics providers' standard retention settings.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the information — including TLS encryption in transit, access controls, and reputable third-party platforms for data storage. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Payment security

We do not collect or store raw payment card numbers on this Site. If you pay for services or apply for financing, card and banking details are entered only on the payment or financing partner's secure, hosted pages (or in person with our team). Those partners are responsible for PCI DSS compliance for the card data they process. See also our Financing page for how financing applications work.

The Site links to third-party sites and services (for example our Google Business Profile, social media pages, review platforms and financing partners). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, which we encourage you to review.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be posted on this page; your continued use of the Site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
